Besides the option of arranging your own hosting research group, university, or company, we offer placements you can apply to directly across various areas. Any degree is welcome, as long as there is passion for the subject.

Eligibility & judging
Any student with a Belgian nationality can apply. There is no age nor degree restriction. Generally, a more experienced profile has a stronger application. However, our judging criteria consider the potential of an individual. Showing exceptional healthcare interest at a young age can therefore compete with more experienced profiles.
Applicants who have previously received funding from B.A.E.F., Fulbright and Fayatbeurzen or others are exempt from participating. Applicants selected for such funding in the same academic year are also not eligible. Applicants may apply while awaiting decisions, but must disclose overlapping funding if selected.
Applications are evaluated holistically by an independent jury of clinicians, researchers, and industry leaders. Selection is based on the following criteria, among others:
